6 Bible Verses To Help You Embrace Change

Change is a topic that makes us shift in our seats with feelings of discomfort. When an employer implements change, morale often goes down. When a child experiences a change in routine, they respond with resistance, and in our personal lives, change is met with fear.

So how do we embrace change instead of pushing it away?

Figuring out the reasons behind the fear of change is important. Here is a list of why we might pull away from the idea of change:

  • Fear of failure – success is comfortable and exciting and change can rock our world. Change is new territory and can lead to a lot of trial and error living as a result. Fear of stepping into failure can keep us from embracing change. But we must not fear failure as there is always so much to learn to take us to the next level of success!
  • Fear of Pain – we don’t want to feel the pain involved with change whether it’s physical, mental, emotional, or even spiritual. Pain causes us to run in the opposite direction. But pain is also the catalyst to a strength we wouldn’t know otherwise.
  • Fear of Criticism – the majority of people don’t like change, and criticism can come as a natural result. We fear people’s responses because we want their support. But pleasing others instead of ourselves is a trap that keeps us from discovering true freedom.
  • Fear of Discomfort – discomfort can be messy, but it can also be magical. It’s where we experience learning and personal growth .

“Normality is a paved road: it’s comfortable to walk. But no flowers grow on it.”

Vincent Van Gogh
