1. Kachula Adventure Blanket

adventure blanket

Called “the Swiss Army Knife of Blankets,” this multi-purpose blanket is one you can take along when lounging on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or picnicking in a city park with friends. It’s got a water-repellent coating which means spills and messes just shake right off, and with a detachable hood it becomes an emergency poncho when you really need it. The blanket is a nice size for a couple of close friends to lounge on, but if you need more space you’re in luck: each blanket has snaps along the sides so you can connect more than one together.

The blanket is a best-seller from Coalatree, who makes apparel and accessories for everyday use with an “eco-minded” focus. Their products are made from recycled materials and the company supports nonprofits that work to maintain and build hiking and biking trails in local public lands. Stain-proof, durable, and comfy as ever, the Trailhead Pants just might become your go-to pant for summer and beyond. They’ve got a four way stretch so whether you’re climbing, hiking, or just lounging, they’ll fit and feel perfect. Possibly the most versatile pants out there, they’ve even got drawstrings at the ankles so you can pull them up above the ankles when you’re feeling warm.

The best part is that the pants are sustainably made in facilities working towards zero emissions. Coalatree’s partners use sustainable methods to manufacture their goods such as wastewater recycling, solar energy, and more. Use coupon code GET10 for 10% off your first order with Coalatree.

Sustainable cap

Keep the sun out of your eyes and stay cool with this trucker-style hat from Tentree. The front panel is made from cork stripped from sustainably grown trees, which keeps the trees healthy by promoting growth and increasing their lifespan. Tentree’s hemp is grown without any pesticides or herbicides, and is naturally antimicrobial so the hat stays cleaner no matter how hard you play in the warm days of summer.

A certified B-Corporation, Tentree plants ten trees for every product you purchase. Each item comes with a token that tells you exactly where those ten trees were planted. So far they’ve planted over 16 million trees and counting.

  1. I have a Kachula blanket from Coalatree and we always fight who gets to use it when we’re out camping. It IS water resistant (lots of people claim their’s is but it’s not). Super great blanket, been wanting to try their pants too. Might have to now.
