Winter is just around the corner. With the change in season comes many days trapped inside due to the bitter cold or several feet of snow stacked right outside your door. No longer can you easily run errands or take a walk in the park during your free time. To avoid the coat, hat, and gloves or sitting in your car watching your breath as you wait for the heat to kick on, you spend most of your days at home.

There's only so many movies you can watch before you go stir-crazy. Whether you're an avid reader or just looking for something to do besides watching hours of television after work, we want to encourage you to spend your winter days with your nose in a book!

Picture yourself sitting by the fire after pouring a steamy hot beverage into your favorite mug. A soft blanket drapes across your legs you have curled up beneath you. You want a way to turn off your thoughts and get lost in another world, so you open the drawer of the side table and pull out a book. However, the book is the one you've tried to read numerous times but never seem to finish. You feel stuck.

You feel stuck and unable to move onto a different book until this one is completed.

But guess what…you don't have to finish every book before you start another one! Put that book away, bundle yourself up, head to the library, and grab enough books to last you through the winter. We will help you decide what to choose.

Some books have great depth and take awhile to get through, but others can be easy, quick reads that you can't put down! Sometimes you can get into a rut with the books you read, so it's common to ask for book recommendations. But book recommendations that include dozens of titles can feel overwhelming. You are listening to others who may have a completely different interest in the types of books you like, so we wanted to create a way for you to take control over your winter reading plan while still helping you get out of your rut.
