Get ready to contribute and change someone's day or possibly their life. This post is entitled “Leave A Little Love” for a good, and quite literal, reason. It’s all about literally leaving a little love wherever you go. Please only read on if you are willing to take two minutes of your time to leave a little love for someone. Yikes, two minutes! I know, tough to find that time? STOP IT! Of course not, just watch television for two less minutes and voilà!

Okay, so here is the dealio…

How many times do you walk along the road and step in someone's chewing gum and you look down and there’s a feeling of disgust that someone has spat that out and now it’s become friends with the sole of your shoe. You are also wondering how to get that sticky mess off your fabulous shiny patent best pair.

Or what about sitting down at a picnic table in the park, for a lovely peaceful experience eating your favourite snack, the breeze flowing and you look down and someone has inscribed “Bob sucks” into the wood. Be it a picnic table, the public toilet wall, or worse, right into the trunk of a beautiful tree. It’s called leaving a little misery.

In reality, we are love and we all have plenty of it to give. So I'm proposing that we all Leave A Little Love by grabbing a little piece of paper and writing a message of love on it (anything uplifting that inspires you, be it a quote or whatever comes into your head in the moment you pick up a pen to write). Now roll up the piece of paper and pop it into your pocket or bag. Then find a public place where you can leave that little note so that a complete stranger will find it. It might be on the shelf of a supermarket, or inside a book at the library, or on a seat in the park, or in the toilet of a restaurant. Leave A Little Love and then know that the note will change someone’s day, or possibly his or her life.

You will never know how uplifting this can be for another person, and because of how the Universe works the person who receives your Little Love will absolutely be in need of it in that very moment.

If everyone did this once, imagine how many people would benefit. Let’s take two minutes to Leave a Little Love.

I’m leaving a little virtual love before signing off…

I’m grateful for you. Being who you are makes a huge difference for so many people, beyond what you could ever imagine. Thank you for being who you are.

The other day I had someone in the queue in front of me unexpectedly pay for my lunch – “a random act of kindness” she told me. My morning had been an intense one and I was so busy in my own mind when she did that, that it brought me back to the present and gave me a nice warm feeling. I paid it forward a few days later and that was a great feeling too. I love the idea of ‘leaving a little love’ and will try this some time.

Wow, what a great example of ‘leaving a little love’. I love it how you were delivered the act of kindness you needed right at that moment to lift you up. Synchronicity at its best!
Your story reminds me of a news article I saw a month or so ago, where people in a particular place in the US were buying coffees at a cafe, and at the same time buying a ‘spare’ coffee, which was then getting marked up on the cafe’s tally. Then homeless people/people in need could come in and ask if there were any prepaid coffees on the board, and the cafe would serve them up a hot drink based on someone’s earlier kindness. How amazingly awesome is that?! That’s a great example of leaving a little love. Something little given by one person can be life changing and heart warming beyond belief for another.
