Watch To See How Kindness Impacts Our World

So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth. – Baha’U’Llah

With the many tragedies that have happened around us, it’s easy to forget there is still good in the world. Previously I posted about how to unite after a tragedy and now I wanted to share with you some positive things that have happened when people throughout history have come together in love and kindness.

Below is a video by Mental Floss. It shares these moments of kindness. People reaching for an embrace instead of reaching for their pitchforks, joining hands instead of joining opposing sides, and working together instead of working against each other.

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. – The Dalai Lama

It’s a better world to live in when we start thinking of others (even with opposing ideals) as people worthy of love and protection; when the underdog is given a fighting chance, and when we choose forgiveness even though justice seems much more satisfying.

We may not receive recognition and praise because of the kindness we’ve shown, but we must show it anyway. Do it for the difference kindness makes in the lives of others, but also do it for yourself.

Kind hearts are infectious and make us happier, content, and more grateful for the lives we have.

Arguments, angry accusations, and intolerance have done nothing but cause division. Even if you don’t agree on a single thing, you can connect with one another through mutual respect and expressions of love for humanity.

Share kindness today and every day. The world needs more!
